Golden Triangle Resource Council brings farmers, ranchers, Native people and other concerned citizens together from Cascade, Chouteau, Teton, and Pondera Counties in Montana to build diverse coalitions in service of the land and the people who live there. They were founded in the Spring of 2022.
I designed their logo and brand identity to establish the new organization's visual presence. Using the organization's mission and vision statements, as well as sketches and input from members as inspiration, I developed a branding system that illustrates the organization's identity.
Scope: Four weeks
Deliverables: Logo and Brand Identity
Software used: Illustrator
Team of stakeholders:
Communications Director
Lead Community Organizer
Leaders of Golden Triangle Resource Council
My role: Graphic Designer and Creative Director
I began with a round of lo-fi draft logos, offering three different options for members to choose or mix-and-match from:
After getting input that members liked elements of all three, I designed a final version that tied them all together cohesively. After this was approved, I built out the branding system and use cases for each logo.
As a new organization, with a large geographic area, it was important that Golden Triangle Resource Council differentiated itself and become instantly recognizable in the communities where they organize. This brand identity was an important step to achieve those goals and grow their membership base.
